External MCP Servers

Siloed connects to third-party SSE-based MCP Servers. The external server’s resources are shown as capsules.

To use an external MCP server, the server must support resources. Many MCP servers only support tools.

To connect to an external MCP server, add a connection using the server’s SSE URL.

Capsules

The MCP server’s resources determine the available capsules.
Text-based resources are supported. Binary resources may be supported in the future.

Siloed does not support tools (or prompts) on MCP server connections. Use other connection types to unlock tools on Siloed’s MCP Server.
